What is an REO?
The term REO is used often by real estate agents, but do you know what it means?
REO means simply, real estate owned. It’s the industry term used to describe a home that has been foreclosed on. Another word commonly used is a bank owned home.
The misconception today is that all foreclosures are trashed, or needing a ton of work to make them livable.
This is simply not true. Many, many of these homes have had new carpet put in them and they have been repainted before they are put on the market to be sold by the banks.
Any home seller knows that the house will sell faster and usually at a better price is it’s in move-in ready condition.
